It’s that time of week again…
When I was a kid, my dad used to make ribs and his homemade orange garlic sauce once every two or three weeks. I would always look forward to rib night.
Since I went off to college two years go, I’ve had them maybe twice. He made them last night in honor of Memorial Day, and let me tell you–I need them more often in my life.
After dinner, Rosie and my dad “played chase.” That puppy is one smart puppy. She found a stray sock, and proceeded to run around and crawl into every nook and cranny she could to avoid Papa taking the sock away from her. It was one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen: a grown man chasing a 4lb dog for about 10 minutes straight. That lady can run.
So, instead of a video or picture, here’s a shot of the little lady being a (deceivingly) good lil pup.
After being entertained by that, my sister and I plopped our butts on the couch and watched a few episodes of Modern Family.
I’ve been watching this show since the pilot aired on TV, and I can never get enough of it.
I used to be obsessed with the Apple & Cinnamon Quaker Instant Oats. This morning, I made hot apple cinnamon oats (with egg whites, of course). I can’t believe I hadn’t tried this earlier.
Rest assured, I will make up for years of going without by having copious amounts of it in the future.
In other news, I’m hosting my first giveaway tomorrow! I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but suffice to say that if you like yummy food, you should come back.
I started toying around with my dad’s DSLR a few days ago. I’m still experimenting with lenses and whatnot, so my photos are kind of all over the place and aren’t the best in terms of foreground/background and angles and everything. But, it’s a learning process!
I can’t go without saying a little something about today. I’ll get into why this day means so much to me in tonight’s post, but for now I’ll just leave you with this:
What’s been marvelous in your Monday?
