…but not together, because that’s a little gross.
A few of you commented on my last WIAW that I ate a lot of green beans. There’s a reason for that–our servery really, really likes green beans. I don’t know if they’re cheaper in Texas or what, but as a result of the plethora of green beans that is given to us, I eat a lot of them.
On the other hand, our servery doesn’t readily give out berries. What I mean by that is that they combine almost all of the fruit (cantaloupe, honeydew, strawberries, blackberries, and kiwi fruit) into one container. (For some reason, they always put the watermelon and grapes in separate bins. I’m not sure why, but it is what it is.) It’s always the berries that go first. You’ve gotta fight to get them. And I always try to…this week, I was more successful at it than I typically am, so I also consumed a lot of berries.
Not that there’s anything wrong with a lot of either beans or berries…but I have to admit, beans every other day gets a little old after a while.
Anyway, without further ado, feel free to feast your eyes on what I’ve been eating this past week. Aka, lots of beans and lots of berries.
Steel-cut oats topped with thawed frozen blueberries and scrambled egg whites with pepper and ketchup
Plain non-fat Greek yogurt topped with thawed frozen mangoes and Justin’s Maple Almond Butter
Chicken with teriyaki sauce, grilled tofu, mango salsa that was supposed to be on the chicken but somehow got displaced, cucumbers, hummus, and bok choy
Egg white omelette (stuffed with tomatoes, mushrooms, onions, black olives, peppers, and ham), green beans, and berries
Grilled tofu, green beans, strawberries, and kiwi
The best meal I have ever had here. Spinach salad with chicken, quinoa, cucumber, grilled okra (!!), salsa, and guacamole
Grilled chicken, sweet potato, black bean salad, tofu with stir fried veggies, and, oh hey–green beans
Chipotle! A fantastic break from green beans. Steak bowl with brown rice, pico de gallo, corn, cheese, and lettuce.
Chicken topped with crab meat and hollandaise sauce, potatoes, zucchini cake with pineapple and cucumber salsa, and broccoli
Homemade garlic bread. So fluffy. So oily and buttery. So good.
Double chocolate cake. The frosting on this was fantastic.
A cinnamon roll the size of my head. No, seriously. Next time I’ll take a picture with it next to my head so you can see.
Oh hey look, more berries! And kiwi.
I finally went to Target the other day, which means STOCK UP ON CHOBANI TIME! Coconut and I were finally reunited and it felt oh-so-good.
Always. (Whoever just thought of Harry Potter with that one word, I’m giving you a high five and a giant hug because you’re awesome.)
In case you haven’t heard, PRO Compression is giving YOU a free pair of compression socks!…
…well, if you enter, that is. You have 3 days (and something odd hours) to enter!
What’s the one food you could eat over and over and never get sick of? GREEN BEANS…haha jokes. Fruit. Justin’s Almond Butter. Coconut Chobani. Froyo. (Speaking of which, I miss my froyo…)
